Must serve in a HPSA or MUA for 3 years. Georgia DCH sponsors Conrad 30 applications. Georgia fills all 30 Conrad slots every year (FY 2024 data). Also eligible for SCRC (Southeast Crescent Regional Commission) waivers — unlimited slots covering 428 counties across 7 southeastern states including Georgia. Full unrestricted GA medical license required.

Georgia fills all 30 Conrad slots annually — apply early (October 1). Southern and eastern Georgia have the highest HPSA scores and greatest need. Atlanta metro has limited HPSA sites and is very competitive. Savannah, Augusta, Macon, Albany, and Columbus have better chances. The SCRC pathway is a major advantage for Georgia — unlimited additional slots for eligible counties. Georgia has a growing IMG physician community. State income tax is graduated (1-5.49%).
