About this program
The Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital offers a structured observership program through its Continuing Medical Education (CME) office. Observers may participate in one of 11 imaging sections — observers are limited to a single section per week and cannot rotate between sections within a single week.
Sections offered: Abdominal Imaging and Intervention, AMIGO (Advanced Multimodality Image Guided Operating Suite), Angiography and Interventional Radiology, Breast Imaging, Cardiovascular Imaging, Emergency Radiology, Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine including PET, Percutaneous Tumor Ablation, Thoracic Imaging.
Fees (page evidence): - Physicians and PhD scientists: $3,000 for 2 weeks, or $4,000 for 1 month / 4 weeks - Medical students, residents, fellows, and allied health professionals: $500 for 2 weeks, or $1,000 for 1 month / 4 weeks
Logistics: 2-week minimum, up to 3 months by special request. Completed application must arrive at least 5 weeks before start; tuition due 2 weeks before arrival. Cancellation fee = 25% of tuition if cancelling within 2 weeks of arrival. No observerships in July, August, or from Nov 15 to Jan 1.
