About this program
The Department of Radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC, Harvard-affiliated) hosts observers across eight imaging subspecialties: Abdominal Imaging, Body MRI, Cardiothoracic, Emergency Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Neuroradiology, and Nuclear Medicine.
- Eligible audiences:
- - High school students — no cost — maximum 1 week observation
- - Undergraduate students — no cost — maximum 1 week observation
- - Medical students, residents, fellows, visiting physicians — $2,000 for a 4-week observership (prorated for shorter rotations)
4th-year medical students from outside Harvard who want to participate in a visiting clerkship (graded, hands-on) must apply through the Harvard Medical School Visiting Student Learning Opportunity (VSLO) instead — this observership track is hands-off shadowing only.
