About this program
USF Health Morsani College of Medicine's Visiting Student Program (Tampa, FL) is administered by the Registrar's Office and hosts visiting MD/DO students primarily at Tampa General Hospital, USF's principal teaching site. Eligibility is restricted to US LCME or COCA accredited M4 students in good standing who have completed required basic clerkships at their home school; only elective rotations are offered (no required clerkships available to visitors). Applications are submitted via the AAMC Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) platform, opening each year in April and requiring submission at minimum one month before the desired start date. The USF Morsani College of Medicine does NOT assess tuition or fees for visiting students; however, students must supply their own health insurance and professional liability (malpractice) coverage. INTL (non-US) medical students are NOT eligible through this program.
