About this program

Rusk Rehabilitation at NYU Langone is one of the largest academic rehabilitation networks in the United States, and its Physician Observership Program is targeted specifically at rehabilitation physicians who want enhanced exposure to Rusk's inpatient and outpatient PM&R practice. The program is explicit about its audience: international physicians, residents enrolled in accredited PM&R programs in their home countries, and practicing physiatrists. International medical students are not accommodated under this track. Rusk runs a separate, non-compensated PT/OT observation pathway for allied-health students. Applicants must complete the Rusk application, supply supporting documents, and submit a TOEFL score of at least 72. USMLE, ECFMG, and graduation-year requirements are not published, and the page does not disclose fee, duration, visa sponsorship, or LOR availability. A certificate of completion is issued at the end, though the program does not award educational credits. Applicants should contact Gladys Obenewa, Senior Program Coordinator, early to obtain fee structure and scheduling clarity.
