About this program
Orlando Health's system-wide observership is administered by its Medical Staff Services (MSS) office and is open to physicians and trainees who can secure a sponsoring physician employed or credentialed within Orlando Health. Each observership runs for up to sixty days, with the clock starting once MSS has received the completed Agreement Application, signed Consumer Report Agreement, supporting documents, and the $100 application fee. The program requires a PPD skin test, and observers rotating during peak flu season are expected to receive a flu vaccine or wear a surgical mask within six feet of patients. Applications may be emailed to [email protected] or faxed. USMLE or ECFMG cutoffs are not publicly published for this track, so those are negotiated at sponsor and MSS level. The program is observational only — no hands-on patient care, no order writing, no procedures. Applicants should begin sponsor outreach before the administrative application.
