About this program
Pritzker School of Medicine hosts final-year domestic medical students from LCME- or COCA-accredited schools for clinical elective rotations. Applications are accepted only through AAMC VSLO; the 2026-27 catalog publishes March 2, 2026, and applications open March 9, 2026. Most rotations are four weeks (with 8-week options in medicine and surgery), running from the first working Monday of the month. Students can complete up to eight weeks total at Pritzker, and placement is first-come-first-served with a six-week-in-advance application recommendation. A strict malpractice requirement of $1M per instance and $3M aggregate is enforced without exception. International students are admitted only if enrolled at 'US-affiliated medical schools located in other countries' through the Center for Global Health. Fees are minimal — no tuition for up to 8 weeks, a $26 wellness fee, parking at $28/day. Students cannot rotate in required clerkships; electives only.
