About this program

Baylor College of Medicine hosts visiting US senior medical students at its Houston and Temple campuses via the AAMC VSLO platform. Applications for Summer 2026 and the 2026-2027 year opened February 27, 2026 and are reviewed on a rolling basis. Eligibility is restricted to students in the final year of medical school at an LCME-accredited US school or senior students at a COCA-accredited osteopathic school. Core clerkships must be complete and applicants must have passed USMLE Step 1 or COMLEX Level 1. A $1,000 non-refundable application fee, in place since January 1, 2015, accompanies every submission. Rotations are four weeks long, credit-bearing. Featured departments include Neurosurgery, Urology, OB/GYN, Anesthesiology, Surgery and surgical subspecialties. International eligibility is routed through a separate international office.
