About this program
The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine at OU Health Sciences Center admits fourth-year medical students from LCME-accredited US schools to four-week visiting electives via VSLO. The Department of Neurology publishes a dedicated fourth-year electives page inviting visiting students, and the Department of Anesthesiology publishes its own visiting-student rotations page. The OUHSC central site lists VSLO as the required application pathway, with rolling review once the catalog opens in spring 2026. The College of Medicine also operates the OU-Tulsa School of Community Medicine, which publishes its own visiting-student intake process. Rotations are credit-bearing and integrate students into OU Medical Center clinical teams in Oklahoma City, a tertiary academic medical center serving the state's main transplant, trauma, and tertiary referral services.
